Our Home & Facilities

The Home features a beautiful garden where you can take a relaxed stroll or where residents can sit and enjoy the sunshine in the summer months or enjoy it from our warm bright conservatory.

We encourage people to bring their own personal mementoes, small items of furniture to make the room surroundings their own personal familiar space.

There are telephone points, televisions and call bells in each room. Call bells are available around the Home to enable residents to call for assistance at any time. There are also internet facilities, newspapers available and free WiFi, to allow residents to keep up with the current news and keep in touch with families and friends.

Our Activities Co-ordinator provides a varied activities programme which is both individual as well as group activities. We have reminiscence sessions, Art & Crafts, quizzes, musicians, yoga, exercise classes and pet therapy which has proved very popular. Outings are also planned with short trips to the garden centre and to the local pub and restaurants to enjoy a lunch as well as longer trips to the seaside and London attractions. The Home adopts a personalised approach to planning activities that are both meaningful and stimulating. As for residents who do not wish to partake in group activities, they can simply choose to unwind in their own rooms making use of televisions and their telephones or enjoy individual activities with staff.

We have a hairdressing salon on site and assisted baths and walk in shower. We also have visiting manicurists, chiropodists, domiciliary dentists, opticians and other visiting health related specialists. Residents will also be able to keep their own GP, provided their GP surgery is within a reasonable distance.

The local church provides services and the monthly communion service is arranged with the vicar. Residents can also attend church services locally if they so wished. Arrangements can also be made for visiting clergy from all other faiths.

Favourite seasonal activities include decorating Easter eggs and making bonnets, celebrating Harvest festival with the service led by school children, fireworks on Bonfire Night and pantomimes and carol singing at Christmas.
